Jun 25/10 - Memorial for Mr. Jack Benoit, John XXIII teacher

Mr. Jack Benoit, former teacher in the 60's & 70's at John XXIII passed away on June 21st, 2010 from lung cancer. Memorial will be held on June 26th/2010 at Rideau Funeral Home on Sources Blvd. in DDO. Call 514-685-3344 for more info.

				I live in L.A. and realy enjoy it. To say that it's stimulating to live here is an understatement. I'm heavily into Photography and am also a docent at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. I'm often in Dorval visiting my mother and love to come "home" to Montreal. It would be great to hear from someone frojm the class of "66 and better yet to see some of you.

				After being the CEGEP guinea pigs at Loyola (Communication Arts BA) Married Vicky after graduating (she was at Loyola).Joined Armstrong Cork Co. in Marketing/Advertising for 3 years, including 1 year in USA. In Toronto since May, 1977, working with Royal Bank H.O. running their Graphics operation with Ross Gibson (ex Dorval High) until 1999. Went back to University of Toronto & got Bachelor of Ed. degree and am now teaching Communication Technology in the Mississauga Catholic High School system. Elder son Jonathan is at York University and Bradley is still in high school.

				Happened upon this site by accident, as I read many others did. My goodness, how the years have passed, I wonder what happened to all of us...persoanally I travelled the world and studied acting in New York City, had a short career on the stage and in film, and then while living in Toronto, met the boy next door (Pte.Claire, St. Thomas High School, class of 1965, I think). Anyway, we have the best two girls in the whole world (my Academy Awards) and we run a small resort in Windermere, Ontario (Muskoka area). www.baldwinsresort.com. Would love to hear from anyone who remembers me... it seems so long ago, but sometimes only yesterday. I miss those years for more than just nostalgic reasons. When's the reunion, by the way?

				I left John XXIII after attending the school Korea Trip in grade 10, and I finished grade 11 & grade 12 at Bishops College School in Lennoxville. Then enetered U. of Guelph, where my mom was from, and where my dad graduated (OVC). I graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College and began to practice with my dad in his veterinary hospital on Cote de Liesse road in Dorval. I am still there. I married my life long neighbour, Wendy Leishman in 1990, and she moved down the block to my house.

				Hi everyone, I just attended my wife's 25 year reunion at PCHS and it got me kind of nostalgic for the old days in Dorval! So of course I headed to the web and found this site. Next year (2006) will be 25 years since the great merger of the two schools. It might be a good time to trek back to the old West Island for some food at Chows (if it is still open) and a few of the other spots that we frequented. It would be great to hear from anyone from those days.

				Hi all! Been a long long time since I have heard from most of you. Graduated from McGill in 88, and Ph.D. in 93 from U-Denver. Currently on the faculty at George Washington University in Washington, DC, where I teach graduate level courses in human development and do research on a number of topics. Yes, imagine that! Happily married for 17 years, have a great seven year old Claire, and two cats. We live in the Northern Virginia suburbs outside of Washington. My most recent hobby is photography, love the connection between art and technology. I have also started going to concerts again (I miss Pigeon park???), and saw Neil Young last fall, and Coldplay this summer. Lots of fun! Let me know if you will ever be around DC. Drop me a line and let me know wazzup! I'd be interested in any kind of reunion. My wife's school seems better organized that ours for this kind of thing (and it is far worse than most!).
