Thanks to Jim Dunn for pointing this out. It has been broken for a while so if you previously tried to provide some information and do not see it posted yet, please submit it again. Jan 01/08 - Yet another new bulletin board Well the idiot hackers have won again, so I've put up yet another bbs with even more authentication to keep out the crud makers. So now new registrants are only accepted when I validate them, I get email notification and activate the account login for you. Believe it or not I get 20-30 bogus new registrations a day already! So if you register and don't get authorization in a day or two please email me to let me know. Mar 18/07 - Children birthdates and new phone field on entry form You can now record your phone number on the entry form. The purpose of this field is to provide a contact number for reunion organizers, it is not exposed anywhere on the site. I will be adding checkboxes later on where you can control what is displayed or not on the bio page. You may also optionally record childrens birthdates next to their names and the system will dynamically recalculate the ages for you daily. This is definitely easier than trying to remember to update each year. Jan 13/07 - '72 reunion is alive, see Reunions below and www.dhs72reunion.com. Jan 13/07 - How to use this site to help plan a reunion The entry form has two new checkbox fields, one to indicate who plans to attend the reunion, the other to indicate the classmate is missing or at least not registered on this site. Those organizing the reunion should make entries for the missing classmates and mark them as missing. To confirm your plans to attend use the entry form to check the "I will attend" box. On the listing page click the Hide Comments and scroll down to your year. The 'All' column will show Reunion or Missing if either is checked so you will have a decent list of who plans to attend, does not plan to attend or is missing. A current list of email addresses for the organizers is available on demand, either on the outlook To: line or with full information in Excel as a private url. Last but not least use the bulletin board for communications. We can create a forum specifically for the reunion if desired. Jan 8/07 - New link for the Class of 1980 from Craig Ferguson http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DorvalHigh1980/. You can drop photos, messages etc. Sep 17/05 - Pictures from the Courtland Park 50th Anniversary are available on the Courtland Park page. We also found the official link from the school board and have posted it there. A note about the Last Updated date on the left column of this page - this date reflects the last time a change occurs to any of the text above the list of names or formatting in general. People update their bios fairly regularly so that content is changing pretty much daily. You can reduce the list of names to those updated in the past month by clicking the Current Entries button. It could be a simple change to email address or kids ages, any change at all puts the name on the updated list. Anybody have anything interesting to post here? I'm more than happy to highlight in this section. We still average more than 1000 hits a day! Oct 24/04 - A new bulletin board to eventually replace the basic message board originally provided here. This will allow us to create groups to separate schools, create topic areas and generally add as much or little categorization as people would like. You have the option of creating a login id or just acting as a guest. A login allows for personalization and other little perks. Enjoy! Added what I thought were funny links to the links link, if you get my drift... Alan Mozen let me know about saintlaurenthighschool.com so we've exchanged links. Wonder if that'll make us any more popular with the search engines...we shall see. A reunion summary of the 75/76 event is now available. This outlines the costs, quantites, thoughts and experiences from this event in order to help other years with their planning. Plus, it'll be really handy a few years from now when we try repeat the process ;) You can now upload pictures from the entry form page. The Upload Picture link will be active only if you access the page from the Edit link beside your name AND you have a password. Sorry to make it so awkward, but but the fun people from Brazil and Seychelles seem to enjoy picking away at the site looking for holes. You can always email the photos to us but we like the upload better because it will associate the photo with your record on the site. Photos are handled manually from there so that they are screened for content, resized if necessary and placed appropriately for display. The order in which people are listed has been changed slightly. If you included a maiden name that will be listed first and the new last name will be in parenthesis. You can always search using the Find option of your browser but this should be more convenient when scrolling. This page layout is new thanks to David Willey. DHS 75 & 76 DHS 1983 LHS 1965-69	Reunions Jan 13/07 - Class of '72 Re-Union (and other connected parties) Many of you know Barry Sydenham and I(Doug Kennedy) have started the ball rolling for a class reunion. The date has been confirmed as Labour Day weekend 2007 with festivities taking place on Friday August 31st and Saturday September the 1st - Saturday night being a dinner tentatively. We are securing a hall and are now in a bit of a hurry to locate some of our classmates. Once we locate as many people as possible we will be able to send out some more formal details. If you have any information that would help us out that would be greatly appreciated. Maybe you still keep in touch with someone? Maybe you know where they live or an email address? Maybe you know a family member of theirs that can assist in providing contact details? Anything might help. If it looks like we missed anyone or you know of someone closely affiliated to our class (John XXIII) or others that should be included as well, feel free to let us know that too! Courtland Park is having a 50th Anniversary Reunion on Saturday September 17, 2005 from 10:00-2:00. Everyone is welcome and many teachers will be attending. Please pass it on! 	Dorval High School History While preparing the lastest round of modfications for additional schools I received some information from Mary Abbott about the metamorphosis of DHS after 1976. Apparently from 1980 through 1986 the english students from John XXIII moved to DHS and John XXIII became Jean XXIII. In 1986 JXXIII/DHS closed and students were transferred to St. Thomas in Pointe Claire for the 86/87 year. DHS then housed a french school (ESD - Ecole Secondaire Dorval) and became the DHS we remember historically at some later, date unknown.

				It was by sheer accident that I Googled DVH School and was competely taken a back by the names and memories. I immediately dug out my old year book (funny how we keep these things for all these years) The Memorial page on this site was heartfelt and a setback. I currently live with Victoria, my partner for 27 years, in a small coastal town on the east side of Vancouver Island, Chemainus, to be exact. I have lived all over Canada, from the Queen Charlotte Islands, to Newfoundland, to the 76' Olympics working as a photogragher. In 1979, I changed professions, and in 1988 got my degree in Horticulture Sciences (Turfgraas Sciences, U of Guelph )and in 1992 became a certified Master Gardener. In 2005 again changed professions and became a cerified Music Therapist and a certified Horticulture Therapist. In 2006, at the age of 56, I again dropped out and changed professions and now, with a group of 50' something musicians, have formed a group, the Flying Accusations (www.flyingaccusations.com) and are preparing to tour "The World" We have all realized that life is just too damn short. So, that is me. Chemainus has a world class live theatre (Shaw of the West) and my wife, Victoria (from Ottawa)is the Props Co ordinater (Head Prop Chick) and, if I may say so, is very happy and good at what she does. (Depends on what show is on, depends on her happy meter) My two, wonderful girls have finally figured out (Ihope) what life is all about and are finding their own "magic voice" in life, and between my two grandchildren "boys", (and I can relate cause I was just like them when I was young) and my beautiful senior friends (I don't call the clients), they all keep me young! I hope that that is true with you too. I read everybodies LITTLE statement about themselves and would love to hear more about their lives. When I read the little that people had written, I noticed a number people lived in competely different communities in completely diferent countries. We all have the same Dorval roots and when I look at the year book, I say to myself, I WONDER WHAT THEY ARE DOING NOW! How many of you are over 50!!!!!! That's 30 years of life since you have left High school - and I am curious!

				My mother was Mrs. Georgia Netanis McLellan and taught at Courtland Park, from 1963 to 1966 as a substitute teacher and then full-time for some years. She later got her Ph.D. We lived at 59 Stream Avenue, later renamed as 1845 Carson Avenue.

				Now living in Kalamazoo Michigan. I do taxes during tax season and work with low income seniors helping them with financial matters all year long. Don't get back to Montreal as often now that I have moved to the US. Dorval High still brings back lot's of good memories!
